Social Programme

The social life of our students is very important to them and to us. Our Social Organiser, Lorraine, arranges a varied programme of excursions and activities throughout the year. Activities include pub evenings, local events, parties, sports, games tournaments, film nights, cinema and theatre visits, live music events, local walks, bowling and sports.

Day excursions offered over the course of a typical year include London, Canterbury, Brighton and Cambridge and for 2008 Salisbury and Stonehenge. Lorraine will also help you plan weekend trips with your friends or help you organise any special interests you have.

During July and August the programme is increased to include regular events such as barbecues, sports and visits to local attractions, as well as weekly full-day and half-day excursions / activities.

Excursions / activities are all offered on a pay-as-you-go basis and the prices vary. from £7.00 for midweek trips and from £17.00 for long Saturday trips depending on the destination. Some local activities are free or very cheap

		Students at the International Food Night held on 24/2/05 Students brought in CD's and food from their countries and had a very sociable and fun evening.
Here are some of our students playing in the snow on 23/2/05.
		Students put on an entertainment show for the school and raised over 37 GBP for Comic Relief (Red Nose Day) on 11/03/05
Rye A group of students went to Rye, they saw the very  pretty little town, learnt about its history, saw the model, climbed the church tower and lastly enjoyed a wonderful cream tea. The photograph was taken in Mermaid Street, Rye on 16/03/05
		The HELC Volleyball Tournament took place on a very hot Wednesday Afternoon. Four teams took part Congratulations to Jacob, Jaroslav, Jacques and Saud who were the final winners and well done to every-one else who took part. July 2005.
