HELC East Building

Facilities

HELC is an independently owned, officially accredited English language school established in 1976. We are located in a beautiful and quiet residential part of Hastings surrounded by woodland. The town centre is about 20 minutes walk away from the school and most homestay accommodation is within 10 minutes walk from the school.

There are two teaching centres 100 metres apart with comfortable ,well-equipped classrooms. Both buildings are set in large gardens with badminton, volleyball and table tennis available during the summer months. School facilities include a computer room with internet and wireless access, a library for you to borrow a selection of books especially written for learners of English and self-study facilities for you to practise your listening and pronunciation. Each building has a common room where you can relax during your free time and there is a school shop selling soft drinks, snacks, sweets and fresh sandwiches and a small bookshop where you can buy English language books. We also keep a small range of popular English language books that you can buy.
